According to the results of the December 26, 2004 election and  re-elections on January 9, 2005, all 120 members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan were elected and registered.

The election was attended by 489 candidates, including 435 from political parties and 54 from initiative groups of voters. On December 26, 2004 in the general election was attended by12 million 197 thousand 159 voters,  on January 9,2005 in the re-elections was attended 80% of voters who are eleigible to vote.

As a result of the election, the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan received the largest number of votes, with 34.2% of the deputies elected; 23.3% of deputies from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan were elected. Also, 18 members of the Fidokorlar(Self -sacrifice)party, 11 members of the Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) and 10 members of the Adolat (Justice) Party were elected to the Legislative Chamber.

Almost 77% of the constituencies fought from 4 to 6 candidates for the single mandate. In particular, in 55 constituencies, four candidates fought in one constituency, five in 32 constituencies and six candidates in 5 constituencies. In addition, in 5 constituencies, two candidates fought for one deputy mandate, and three in 23 constituencies.

The election campaign covered 493 domestic and 107 foreign mass media. The election was attended by 228 foreign observers from around 40 countries, including the missions of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
