Delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in elections in Georgia

Today, October 2, elections to local self-government bodies are being held in Georgia.

At the invitation of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, the secretary of the Central Election Commission, head of the secretariat H. Mamatov, as well as Deputy Director of the CEC training center for electoral legislation and modern technologies K. Arslanov, who are part of the OSCE / ODIHR observation mission, will monitor the elections.

In Georgia, 3,497,345 voters were registered to participate in the elections of local self-government bodies.

In elections held under a mixed system, citizens elect mayors and deputies of local advisory bodies - sakrebulo. The number of people eligible to vote in the country for the first time this year is 39,135.

As a result of the elections, 64 mayors and 2,044 deputies will work in 64 sakrebulos.
