The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries Altynbek Mamayusupov on December 20.

Experts of the Council, following a proposal of the Central Election Commission, will monitor the process of preparing and conduct of parliamentary elections.

During the conversation with Head of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.Mamatov, he noted that preparations for the elections of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, regional, district and city councils of people's deputies are conducted in the context of an ever-expanding process of democratization of society. The national electoral legislation has been radically renewed, social and political activity of citizens has been increased, the role of political parties and civil society institutions has been strengthened, and all conditions for open and transparent elections have been established in line with international standards.

It should be noted that the mission is collecting and analyzing election process materials, conducting legal expertise of electoral legislation, and monitoring the election materials published on television and print media.
