On February 24, 2021, the International Center for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) held a virtual roundtable on “Strengthening Access in Registration”. The event was held on Zoom, which was attended by about 200 representatives of international organizations and electoral bodies from around the world, including Uzbekistan.

On February 24, 2021, the International Center for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) held a virtual roundtable on “Strengthening Access in Registration”. The event was held on Zoom, which was attended by about 200 representatives of international organizations and electoral bodies from around the world, including Uzbekistan.

Speakers of the roundtable emphasized that the voter registration process is crucial to enfranchise all eligible voters, and is the budding bloc upon which a democracy realizes the fundamental principle of "one person, one vote, one value." It is the responsibility of electoral management bodies to ensure that the voter register is inclusive, accurate and comprehensive, and that its processes are transparent to all stakeholders. The participants spoke about the experience of India, USA, Canada in this area.
