The agenda of the meeting included the approval of the Regulations on the procedure for interactive services to determine and change the polling station, accreditation of media representatives and the election of members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan to fill vacancies in Tashkent region.
It was noted at the event that in order to create favorable conditions for the implementation of the constitutional rights of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the electoral process, an interactive service was introduced to identify and change the polling station. This interactive service is available to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who have a permanent or temporary residence address, have reached the age of eighteen before or on election day.
In accordance with the CEC decision on accreditation of media representatives, 48 representatives of local and foreign media were registered at the meeting. It should be noted that to date, the number of accredited local media has exceeded 750 people.
Another issue on the agenda is that in accordance with Articles 14, 78 and 87 of the Electoral Code, the Central Election Commission will hold a joint meeting on the election of a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 24, 2021 at 11:00 in Qibray district. , University Street, 2, Tashkent State Agrarian University.
The meeting also considered other issues related to the activities of the CEC.
