The event focused on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the establishment of polling stations at diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad, accreditation of media representatives and the appointment of D. A. Khidoyatov as a member of the Senate registration issues were addressed.

Members of the Central Election Commission considered the first item on the agenda - the approval of the Instruction on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) during the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The guidelines set out the requirements for quarantine rules for election commission members, voters, observers and the media in constituencies and polling stations. It was noted that in order to maintain social distance at the entrance to the premises where the district and precinct election commissions are located and in the voting room, there should be lines marking a distance of 1.5-2 meters and indicating the direction of movement.

At least one medical officer shall be attached to the premises where district and precinct election commissions are located. Daily analysis of the epidemiological situation in the territory of the constituency is carried out by the territorial departments of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Health Service.

The meeting also considered a draft resolution on the establishment of polling stations at diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad.

 It was noted that in accordance with Articles 10, 14 and 16 of the Electoral Code and the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish polling stations for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, 54 polling stations in diplomatic missions and consulates of foreign countries will be formed.

Also, in accordance with the decision of the CEC on the accreditation of media representatives, 9 representatives of local media were registered at the meeting. It should be noted that to date, the number of accredited local media is 757, and the number of foreign media is 48.

Davron Abdulpattakhovich Khidoyatov was registered as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 24, 2021, according to the minutes of the joint session of the Commission on the election of a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, the relevant decisions of the Central Election Commission were adopted on the issues included in the agenda.
