In accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President shall take office upon inauguration at a joint session of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

«I do solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Uzbekistan, to strictly follow the Constitution and laws of the Republic, to guarantee the rights and freedoms of its citizens, and to conscientiously exercise the duties vested to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan».

According to Article 65 of the Election Code, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall take office within two months from the date of the official announcement by the Central Election Commission of the election results of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
