The joint session was opened by the head of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission Khudoyor Mamatov, who, in accordance with Article 78 of the Electoral Code, proposed to chair the meeting from among the most prestigious, experienced and senior deputies.

At the meeting, the deputies were given the necessary insights on the upcoming elections to the Senate. After that, the election of a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held by secret ballot.

Davron Abdulpattakhovich Khidoyatov, hokim of Tashkent region, deputy of the regional council of people's deputies from 47th Nurafshan district, has been elected a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
