THE GROUP OF OBSERVERS OF THE IPA CIS MEETS WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF THE PRE-ELECTION STAFF OF THE POLITICAL PARTIES

As previously reported, at the invitation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, long-term observers of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States arrived in our country.

During their stay, a group of IPA CIS observers holds meetings with the leadership of the election headquarters of political parties.

On October 7, in the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milliy Tiklanish" and the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with representatives of the delegation headed by the Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council - Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Observance of Electoral Rights of Citizens of the Member States (IIMDD) IPA CIS I. Mushket.

During the meeting, the group of observers was familiarized with the history and ideas of each political party, the party's election program and campaigning activities, in particular, with the preparation of the party and candidate for the presidential election, the election campaign and election campaigning. Provided information on the groups of election headquarters and their responsibilities.

At the same time, it was noted that the electoral process is conducted openly and transparently in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Electoral Code, and during the election campaign equal opportunities have been created for all parties and their candidates for media coverage.

Note that the observers of the IPA CIS will monitor and observe the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the city of Tashkent and regions.

Within the framework of long-term monitoring, IIMDD experts will observe and analyze the main stages of the election campaign, as well as hold meetings with participants in the electoral process: heads of election commissions at various levels and representatives of the headquarters of political parties. The final report will be published based on the results of long-term monitoring.
