The issues of the election campaign, amendments to the electoral law, polling stations set up at diplomatic and other missions abroad were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that 54 stationary polling districts have been opened at the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in 37 countries. In particular, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in New Delhi has a polling district number 51.
Citizens of Uzbekistan abroad can vote at polling stations in Austria, Afghanistan, USA, UAE, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Poland, They can vote in polling stations in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Oman, France, China, India, Switzerland, Iran and Japan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat also highly appreciated the opportunities created for citizens of Uzbekistan abroad. He emphasized that there is no such practice in the Indian electoral system and that polling stations are not set up for Indian citizens in foreign countries.
It was also pointed out that long-term election observers from several distinguished international organizations have recently visited our country and are getting acquainted with the preparations for these political processes.
