Early voting for the presidential elections in Uzbekistan began today at the 43rd polling station at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara and the Honorary Consulate in Antalya.
Before the start of the early voting process, the National Anthem of Uzbekistan was played. After that, our compatriots in Ankara, Antalya and neighboring cities who came to study or for temporary work, using their constitutional right, cast their vote in the presidential elections in our country ahead of schedule.
It should be noted that Antalya is one of the largest tourist centers in Turkey. The opportunity to take part in early voting was also important for our citizens who came here on vacation.

Our citizens take an active part in the voting process in accordance with the requirements of the national electoral legislation. Compatriots vote for the candidate they have chosen, having familiarized themselves with the election programs of the candidates. Most of our citizens participating in the elections are young people. Early voting in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan began in Riga
At the polling station No. 24, created at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia, early voting for the election of the President of Uzbekistan began.
As previously reported, the voting was organized on the basis of the largest recipient universities of students from Uzbekistan - Riga Technical University (RTU) and the Higher School of Information Systems Management (ISMA).
The electoral process began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the presence of members of the precinct election commission, representatives of the administration of the above-mentioned universities, volunteers from among compatriot students and activists of the Riga branch of the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan.
Taking into account the pandemic, as well as the requirements of the legislation of the host country, the voting process is organized in compliance with epidemiological safety measures. In particular, with the assistance of the administration of the universities, the premises were disinfected in advance, equipped with disinfectants and face masks, and the observance of social distance is ensured.
It should be noted that for the first time, presidential elections are held in accordance with the new Electoral Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted in 2019. In accordance with the provisions of this regulatory document, early voting begins 10 days (October 14) and ends 3 days (October 20) before the election date.
We remind you that in order to fully ensure the electoral rights of our compatriots, polling station No. 24, established at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia, will also hold early voting in the cities of Tallinn, Helsinki and Vilnius from 16 to 19 October this year.

It should be noted that for the convenience of the citizens of Uzbekistan, who cannot participate in the elections on election day for any reason, an opportunity is created for early voting in 8 places of compact residence of compatriots. In addition, early voting was organized from 14 to 20 October at the territory of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington and the Consulate General in New York.
