The training event was attended by representatives of NGOs, the network of the Republican Information Center "Istikbolli Avlod" (14 regional branches), as well as employees of the Syrdarya Department for Support of Mahalla and Family.

The curriculum, including a specialized gender manual, was developed to educate participants on gender equality in elections, international standards and electoral procedures. The program also provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the electoral cycle through a “gender lens”.

During the assessment, the participants emphasized the importance of the training course, which helped them gain new information and look at gender equality from a different perspective.

The knowledge gained during the training course is expected to deepen the participants' understanding of gender equality, as well as international standards and best practices in this area, and help determine the next steps to promote the direct participation of women not only in the electoral process but also in politics.
