In particular, it was noted that the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan were held in accordance with national legislation, international standards of electoral law and democratic norms.
It should be pointed out that cascade trainings played a special role in holding elections at a high level in accordance with the «Concept of advancing the qualification of members of election commissions» approved by the Central Election Commission.
In accordance with this principle, seminars and trainings were conducted by qualified specialists based on curricula and training materials, developed by specialists of the Academy of Public Administration and Tashkent State University of Law.
Qualified trainers have made a worthy contribution to the promotion of national electoral legislation in all the regions of the country by holding training seminars on the preparation and organization of elections.
The training covered such topics as the constitutional and legal foundations of the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the organization of district election commissions, the powers and responsibilities of election commissions, equipping district and precinct election commissions and voting rooms, working with voter lists.
In this regard, regional trainers, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions responsibly and conscientiously performed the assigned tasks and took an active part in the presidential elections in Joqargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and the regions in order to encourage them by the Central Election Commission.
Namangan State University hosted a ceremony of awarding with honorary diplomas of the Central Election Commission and valuable souvenirs of the regional administration to 15 such dedicated and enthusiastic regional trainers today. The event was attended by CEC members B. Yunusov and A. Isakbaev.
