Out of more than 44 million voters, more than 34 million.
The main candidates for the presidency were Lee Jae-myung of the ruling United Democratic Party and Yoon Seok-yeol of the conservative Civil Force Party. Centrist People's Party candidate Anchol-soo announced that he had teamed up with Yoon Seok-yeol ahead of the election.
After the votes were counted, Yoon Seok Yeol received 48.56 percent and Lee Jae Myung received 47.83 percent of the vote, according to South Korea's National Electoral Commission.
